Trina Parks is an actress, dancer and vocalist.
She is most recognized for her role as Thumper in the 1971 film Diamonds Are Forever. Playing opposite Sean Connery, the role gave Ms. Parks the distinction of being the first African American Bond Woman.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Trina trained in dance under the legendary Katherine Dunham. After graduating from highschool, she toured with the Dunham company in Europe. Additionally, Ms. Parks helped choreograph the 1975 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “The Wiz," which was later made into the hit movie starring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.
After “Diamonds Are Forever,” Ms. Parks starred in a few more films but has dedicated most of her career to dance and theater. She has performed with several dance companies, and acted alongside James Earl Jones in the play "Emperor Jones."
